The Lake of the Ozarks real estate market in 2025 continued to show resilience, even as national headlines focused on higher interest rates and affordability challenges.

Throughout the year, we saw:

·      Consistent demand for lakefront and near-lake properties, particularly among second-home buyers and retirees.

·      Well-priced homes selling, while overpriced listings sat longer—reinforcing the importance of accurate pricing.

·      A slight increase in inventory compared to 2024, giving buyers more options without flooding the market.

Mortgage rates remained mostly in the mid-6% range, which slowed some buyer activity, but it didn’t stop it. Many buyers simply became more strategic—waiting for the right property, negotiating more carefully, and focusing on long-term value rather than quick decisions.

Sellers who prepared their homes properly and leaned into professional marketing still experienced solid results, especially in desirable locations around Osage Beach, Lake Ozark, Sunrise Beach, and the surrounding arms of the lake.
